Per started 10,000 extracted characters: summary 10 credits; translation 30 credits. Uploading and quoting are free. No separate AI provider payment or automatic card charge per task.
You use Sablelane credits from your subscription, credit packs or free trial. Sablelane pays the third-party AI service provider. You do not need separate account with the AI service provider. Starting an AI task does not charge your card or automatically purchase more credits. Existing subscription renewal rules remain unchanged.
Each started block of 10,000 extracted Unicode characters costs 10 credits for a summary or 30 credits for a translation. Spaces, punctuation and extracted line breaks count. For 1–10,000 characters: 10 / 30 credits; 10,001–20,000: 20 / 60; 20,001–24,000: 30 / 90. Uploading and requesting a quote use no AI credits and do not send text to the model. A quote lasts 10 minutes. Changing the file, operation or output language requires a new quote.
We reserve the quoted credits when you confirm. A successfully delivered result consumes that amount; downloading it again is free. Failed tasks, or cancellations accepted before delivery, return the reserved credits. A cancellation racing with completion may arrive too late: the final task status controls settlement. Provider charges incurred before a failure are paid by Sablelane. A new task that you confirm is a separate charge. There are no automatic AI retries. Credit and subscription cash refunds follow the existing refund policies; service defects can be reviewed through the contact form.
One PDF per task, up to 20 pages and 24,000 extracted characters. Every page must have extractable text; scan-only pages need separately charged OCR first. Flatten interactive forms first. Output is a UTF-8 .txt file, not a translated PDF; original layout, images and table formatting are not preserved. Long translations are processed in chunks, which can affect consistency. AI can omit, mistranslate or invent information: review before relying on it, particularly for important documents.
Only after you explicitly confirm the AI consent checkbox do we send extracted text, the chosen output language and task instructions to the third-party AI service provider. We do not send your account email or payment information to the model. Processing can occur outside your country. Only submit documents you are authorized to share with this provider. The original PDF stays in our private file storage. Our output files expire 24 hours after completion; backup retention and delayed deletion rules remain as stated in the PDF file policy. the third-party AI service provider handles transmitted text under its own privacy terms; see the provider link below.
Tasks may queue. If capacity, provider availability or our cost control prevents completion, the task fails and the reserved credits are returned. Unused subscription allowances still follow their normal expiry rules. There is no promise of unlimited AI use or a fixed completion time.
